Professor titular da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) e do programa de p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Engenharia Qu\u00edmica. Pesquisador membro do INCT \u2013 Instituto Nacional de Ci\u00eancia e Tecnologia para Reatores. Foi vice-coordenador da p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Engenharia Qu\u00edmica da UFSC. Experi\u00eancia de Engenharia de Materiais e Metal\u00fargica, com \u00eanfase em Materiais Cer\u00e2micos e Processamento de Min\u00e9rios, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Combust\u00edveis Nucleares, Res\u00edduos S\u00f3lidos Industriais, Processamento de Minerais met\u00e1licos, Materiais Antimicrobianos, S\u00edntese de Materiais Nano-estruturados e T\u00e9cnicas de Caracteriza\u00e7\u00e3o de Materiais. Diretor t\u00e9cnico do centro de Tecnologia em cer\u00e2mica em Crici\u00fama\/SC, coordenador de projetos de implanta\u00e7\u00e3o fabris de combust\u00edveis nucleares na Marinha do Brasil, onde tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 coordenador t\u00e9cnico na montagem do laborat\u00f3rio de materiais de Iper\u00f3\/SP; gerente de projeto na Comiss\u00e3o Nacional de Energia Nuclear (CNEN) do combust\u00edvel nuclear nomeado pelo presidente da CNEN pela Portaria Ministerial 186. Condecorado pela Marinha brasileira por gerenciar a fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o do primeiro reator nuclear brasileiro IPEN-MB-01. Participou do estudo \u201cRoadmap tecnol\u00f3gico para produ\u00e7\u00e3o, uso limpo e eficiente do carv\u00e3o mineral nacional\u201d. \u00c9 autor de diversos livros nacionais e internacionais no setor de cer\u00e2mica, combust\u00edveis nucleares para reatores, radia\u00e7\u00e3o ionizante, materiais, nanoestruturas, res\u00edduos s\u00f3lidos componentes eletr\u00f4nicos. Atualmente est\u00e1 cursando mestrado em sistemas energ\u00e9ticos sustent\u00e1veis em um programa do EIT InnoEnergy, onde tem contato com o estado da arte das fontes renov\u00e1veis de energia. O mestrado possui dupla diploma\u00e7\u00e3o, a primeira pela Royal Institute of Technology (Su\u00e9cia) e a segunda pela Universitat Polit\u00e8cnica de Catalunya (Espanha), com previs\u00e3o de conclus\u00e3o para maio de 2021.<\/p>\n<p>No Brasil, atuou como consultor de sustentabilidade desenvolvendo projetos para inclus\u00e3o do tema no planejamento estrat\u00e9gico de grandes empresas. Foi presidente da C\u00e2mara Tem\u00e1tica de Mobilidade Sustent\u00e1vel do Conselho Empresarial Brasileiro para Desenvolvimento Sustent\u00e1vel (CEBDS).
