No caso de obras de infraestrutura os elementos estruturais podem ser constru\u00eddos com concreto pr\u00e9-moldado; nos t\u00faneis constru\u00eddos com a tecnologia TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine), os an\u00e9is segmentados s\u00e3o fabricados e armazenados em plantas industriais antes de serem transportados at\u00e9 o ponto da constru\u00e7\u00e3o, mas podem sofrer danos por conta de choques entre duas pe\u00e7as ou no momento do encaixe.<\/p>\n<p>Em caso de inc\u00eandio, as barras de a\u00e7o, que s\u00e3o o principal refor\u00e7o dos an\u00e9is segmentados, s\u00e3o afetadas pela temperatura por estarem a uma pequena dist\u00e2ncia da face afetada pelo fogo, o que pode levar ao colapso da estrutura.<\/p>\n<p>Com o objetivo de minimizar esses danos e avaliar o comportamento de novos materiais em situa\u00e7\u00e3o de inc\u00eandio, Ramoel Serafini, aluno de doutorado da Escola Polit\u00e9cnica da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (USP) e participante do programa Novos Talentos do Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnol\u00f3gicas (IPT), estuda a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de concreto refor\u00e7ado com fibras na constru\u00e7\u00e3o civil, especialmente em t\u00faneis.<\/p>\n<p>O uso de fibras como substitui\u00e7\u00e3o parcial ou total das barras de a\u00e7o traz o benef\u00edcio de acelerar o processo produtivo dos an\u00e9is segmentados e reduzir danos a esses elementos &#8211; tanto nas fases de produ\u00e7\u00e3o quanto de instala\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cN\u00e3o temos muitos estudos em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao concreto refor\u00e7ado com fibras, principalmente em situa\u00e7\u00f5es de inc\u00eandio, que \u00e9 uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o cr\u00edtica tanto para a seguran\u00e7a do usu\u00e1rio quanto da estrutura do t\u00fanel em si\u201d, explica Serafini. O colapso de uma grande estrutura como um t\u00fanel pode afetar n\u00e3o apenas a \u00e1rea em que se encontra, mas tamb\u00e9m impactar as edifica\u00e7\u00f5es do entorno devido a movimenta\u00e7\u00f5es de solo.<\/p>\n<p>Uma das vantagens do material estudado por Serafini est\u00e1 no fato de o refor\u00e7o das fibras estar integrado ao concreto e presente em toda a estrutura: mesmo em casos de inc\u00eandio, nos quais a parte superficial do material \u00e9 afetada pelo fogo, ainda existe o refor\u00e7o em camadas mais profundas.<\/p>\n<p>Com a previs\u00e3o de defesa de tese para o final de 2020, o engenheiro civil, formado pela Universidade Caxias do Sul (UCS), espera que ao final de sua pesquisa possa entregar o primeiro modelo computacional capaz de simular a estrutura de um t\u00fanel feito de de concreto refor\u00e7ado com fibras de a\u00e7o ap\u00f3s um inc\u00eandio. \u201cMeu objetivo \u00e9 desenvolver um modelo num\u00e9rico de previs\u00e3o de comportamento que contemple diversos tipos de concreto e diversas quantidades de refor\u00e7o.
