[Imagem:\u00a0ETH Zurich \/ Alessandro Della Bella]<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ar + Sol = querosene de avia\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pesquisadores do Instituto Federal de Tecnologia de Zurique (ETH), na Su\u00ed\u00e7a, desenvolveram uma nova tecnologia que produz combust\u00edveis l\u00edquidos de hidrocarbonetos exclusivamente a partir da luz solar e do ar.<\/p>\n<p>Pela primeira vez, eles demonstraram toda a cadeia de processos termoqu\u00edmicos sob condi\u00e7\u00f5es reais de campo.<\/p>\n<p>A usina solar produz combust\u00edveis l\u00edquidos sint\u00e9ticos que liberam tanto CO2 durante sua combust\u00e3o quanto o previamente extra\u00eddo do ar para sua produ\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>A cadeia combina tr\u00eas processos de convers\u00e3o termoqu\u00edmica: Primeiro, a extra\u00e7\u00e3o de CO2 e \u00e1gua do ar; em segundo lugar, a separa\u00e7\u00e3o termoqu\u00edmica de CO2 e \u00e1gua; em terceiro lugar, a liquefa\u00e7\u00e3o subsequente dos dois compostos em hidrocarbonetos.<\/p>\n<p>A radia\u00e7\u00e3o solar \u00e9 concentrada em um espelho parab\u00f3lico por um fator de 3.000, gerando uma temperatura de 1.500 graus Celsius dentro do reator solar. No cora\u00e7\u00e3o do reator solar est\u00e1 uma estrutura de cer\u00e2mica feita de \u00f3xido de c\u00e9rio, que permite uma rea\u00e7\u00e3o de duas etapas &#8211; o chamado ciclo redox &#8211; para dividir a \u00e1gua e o CO2 em\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inovacaotecnologica.com.br\/noticias\/noticia.php?artigo=energia-solar-transforma-co2-combustivel-avioes&amp;id=010115140505\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">g\u00e1s de s\u00edntese<\/a>. Essa mistura de hidrog\u00eanio e mon\u00f3xido de carbono pode ent\u00e3o ser processada para produzir combust\u00edveis de hidrocarbonetos l\u00edquidos atrav\u00e9s do metanol ou pela s\u00edntese de Fischer-Tropsch.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Esta planta prova que os combust\u00edveis de hidrocarbonetos neutros em carbono podem ser feitos a partir da luz solar e do ar em condi\u00e7\u00f5es reais de campo. O processo termoqu\u00edmico utiliza todo o espectro solar e ocorre em altas temperaturas, permitindo rea\u00e7\u00f5es r\u00e1pidas e alta efici\u00eancia,&#8221; disse o professor Aldo Steinfeld, coordenador da equipe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Refinaria solar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A minirrefinaria solar, ainda em escala de prot\u00f3tipo e sob as condi\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas predominantes em Zurique, produz cerca de um decilitro de combust\u00edvel por dia.<\/p>\n<p>A equipe j\u00e1 est\u00e1 trabalhando em um teste em grande escala de seu reator em uma torre solar perto de Madri, na Espanha. O pr\u00f3ximo objetivo do projeto \u00e9 dimensionar a tecnologia para implementa\u00e7\u00e3o industrial e torn\u00e1-la economicamente competitiva.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Uma usina solar que ocupe uma \u00e1rea de um quil\u00f4metro quadrado poderia produzir 20 mil litros de querosene por dia,&#8221; disse o pesquisador Philipp Furler. &#8220;Teoricamente, uma usina do tamanho da Su\u00ed\u00e7a &#8211; ou um ter\u00e7o do Deserto de Mojave, na Calif\u00f3rnia &#8211; poderia cobrir as necessidades de querosene de toda a ind\u00fastria da avia\u00e7\u00e3o.
