[Imagem: UCSD]<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pr\u00e9dios de madeira<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Os engenheiros canadenses apresentaram o mais alto pr\u00e9dio de madeira do mundo, com 18 andares.<\/p>\n<p>Os norte-americanos n\u00e3o querem ficar para tr\u00e1s. Na verdade eles est\u00e3o atr\u00e1s, mas querem tirar o atraso tornando o seu futuro pr\u00e9dio de madeira de 20 andares \u00e0 prova de terremotos.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Projetar edif\u00edcios seguros mesmo em grandes terremotos \u00e9 extremamente importante. Estamos fazendo isso &#8211; e estamos indo mais longe. Estamos trabalhando para minimizar o tempo que os edif\u00edcios ficam fora de servi\u00e7o depois de grandes terremotos. Tamb\u00e9m estamos focados em reduzir os custos necess\u00e1rios para consert\u00e1-los,&#8221; disse Shiling Pei, da Universidade da Calif\u00f3rnia em San Diego.<\/p>\n<p>Para isso, eles est\u00e3o se preparando para chacoalhar um prot\u00f3tipo de dois andares em um dos maiores simuladores de terremotos do mundo, que a equipe vem desenvolvendo e utilizando h\u00e1 alguns anos.<\/p>\n<p>Nesta etapa de testes, o pr\u00e9dio de madeira experimental, de 6,70 metros de altura, servir\u00e1 para avaliar o comportamento de sistemas de seguran\u00e7a s\u00edsmica em grande escala, elaborados a partir de materiais avan\u00e7ados de madeira, incluindo paredes de balan\u00e7o, que podem se mover durante um terremoto e, em seguida, voltar a se centrar sozinhas, al\u00e9m de um novo projeto de seguran\u00e7a s\u00edsmica para as lajes do edif\u00edcio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Madeira laminada cruzada<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>O edif\u00edcio \u00e9 feito com madeira laminada cruzada (CLT: Cross Laminated Timber), um material relativamente novo e de alto desempenho feito de camadas (l\u00e2minas) de madeira superpostas e coladas, similares \u00e0s utilizadas em pisos e carpetes de madeira, mas com maior resist\u00eancia e flexibilidade.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Com o advento da madeira laminada cruzada podemos come\u00e7ar a pensar em arranha-c\u00e9us de madeira,&#8221; afirmou Pei. &#8220;A CLT, e a massa de madeira de forma geral, fazem parte de uma tend\u00eancia maci\u00e7a na arquitetura e na constru\u00e7\u00e3o, mas o desempenho s\u00edsmico de edif\u00edcios altos feitos desses tipos de madeira ainda representa \u00e1guas inexploradas.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Com os dados coletados nessa campanha de testes, a equipe far\u00e1 uma nova rodada em 2020 usando um edif\u00edcio de madeira de 10 andares que, depois de devidamente chacoalhado, ser\u00e1 queimado para testes de seguran\u00e7a contra inc\u00eandio.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00f3 ent\u00e3o eles partir\u00e3o para construir edif\u00edcios de madeira de 20 andares ou mais.<\/p>\n<p><b>Autor: Inova\u00e7\u00e3o Tecnol\u00f3gica<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>O pr\u00e9dio de madeira est\u00e1 sendo constru\u00eddo em cima de uma mesa m\u00f3vel, que chacoalha para simular um terremoto.
