A inova\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 t\u00e3o promissora, que os norte-americanos j\u00e1 est\u00e3o testando o material em esta\u00e7\u00f5es espaciais.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m de descartar a necessidade de outros aparelhos mec\u00e2nicos para movimentar as placas na dire\u00e7\u00e3o do sol, o modelo tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 feito com materiais muito mais baratos. No lugar dos tradicionais: cobre, \u00edndio, g\u00e1lio e sel\u00eanio, muito mais raros e caros, os pesquisadores usaram: cobre, zinco, estanho e enxofre.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/site\/userfiles\/celula_solar_3d-300x199.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Foto: Divulga\u00e7\u00e3o<\/p>\n<p><\/em>De acordo com os cientistas, a mudan\u00e7a na mat\u00e9ria-prima pode custar at\u00e9 mil vezes menos, tornando-os sistemas fotovoltaicos muito mais atrativos e baratos. No entanto, o processo demandou muitos desafios. \u201cNa fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o voc\u00ea tem que aquecer estes elementos e um grande problema \u00e9 que eles evaporam em taxas diferentes. Mistur\u00e1-los nas propor\u00e7\u00f5es desejadas, de modo que a estequiometria seja mantida e os n\u00edveis de el\u00e9trons sobre os elementos constitutivos se igualem como deveriam, tem sido um desafio\u201d, explicou o engenheiro Jud Ready, principal pesquisador do projeto.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Em declara\u00e7\u00e3o oficial, Ready tamb\u00e9m falou sobre o design das c\u00e9lulas fotovoltaicas. \u201cCom nosso design 3D, conforme o \u00e2ngulo do sol aumenta, cresce tamb\u00e9m a superf\u00edcie exposta e h\u00e1 mais chances de os f\u00f3tons entrarem\u201d, comentou. O modelo tamb\u00e9m eleva as chances de os f\u00f3tons serem transformados em el\u00e9trons e gerarem energia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A c\u00e9lula ser\u00e1 instalada em uma esta\u00e7\u00e3o espacial norte-americana, onde permanecer\u00e1 por testes durante seis meses.
