Weber\/University of Erlangen-Nuremberg]<\/p>\n<p><\/em><strong>Prote\u00ednas bioluminescentes <br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nEngenheiros da Alemanha e da Espanha criaram um BioLED h\u00edbrido, sintetizando prote\u00ednas luminescentes na forma de uma borracha e juntando-as a um LED comum. <\/p>\n<p>Uma vantagem surpreendente em rela\u00e7\u00e3o aos LEDs inorg\u00e2nicos tradicionais \u00e9 que o bioLED j\u00e1 nasce emitindo luz branca pura, de alta qualidade, formada por iguais por\u00e7\u00f5es de camadas de borrachas azuis, verdes e vermelhas. <\/p>\n<p>Outra vantagem \u00e9 que o material \u00e9 muito mais barato do que os LEDs semicondutores, normalmente fabricados a partir de elementos raros e caros, como c\u00e9rio e \u00edtrio &#8211; um material conhecido como YAG:Ce, ou granada de alum\u00ednio-\u00edtrio dopada com c\u00e9rio. <\/p>\n<p>A t\u00e9cnica consiste em introduzir prote\u00ednas luminescentes de cada cor em uma matriz polim\u00e9rica, formando uma borracha emissora de luz, que ent\u00e3o pode ser montada sobre um LED comum para formar o bioLED. <\/p>\n<p><strong>LED h\u00edbrido <br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nOcorre que as prote\u00ednas bioluminescentes s\u00e3o passivas, ou seja, o bioLED ainda depende de um LED comum para &#8220;excit\u00e1-las&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>Qual seria ent\u00e3o a vantagem? <\/p>\n<p>Segundo a equipe, a vantagem \u00e9 que os bioLEDs emitem luz branca pura a partir de um LED comum azul ou ultravioleta, ambos muito mais baratos do que um LED branco tradicional. E a luz branca emitida \u00e9 muito superior em qualidade do que a luz emitida por um LED branco inorg\u00e2nico. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;\u00c9 sempre necess\u00e1rio ter um LED ou azul ou ultravioleta para excitar as borrachas, que s\u00e3o colocadas sobre esse LED para torn\u00e1-lo branco. Em outras palavras, n\u00f3s podemos combinar um LED azul com borrachas verdes e vermelhas, ou um LED ultravioleta com borrachas azuis, verdes e vermelhas,&#8221; explica Rub\u00e9n Costa, da Universidade de Erlangen-Nurembergue. <\/p>\n<p>Segundo os pesquisadores, as prote\u00ednas usadas no bioLED &#8220;mantiveram suas propriedades bioluminescentes intactas durante meses de armazenamento sob diferentes condi\u00e7\u00f5es ambientais de luz, temperatura e umidade&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p><em>Bibliografia: <br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Bioinspired Hybrid White Light-Emitting Diodes <br \/>\nMichael D.
