Contudo, enquanto isso, seu interior mant\u00e9m uma configura\u00e7\u00e3o cristalina perfeitamente est\u00e1vel. <\/p>\n<p>Esse fen\u00f4meno surpreendente tem implica\u00e7\u00f5es diretas no uso das nanopart\u00edculas em equipamentos eletr\u00f4nicos e eletromec\u00e2nicos (MEMS e NEMS) e como carreadores de medicamentos em aplica\u00e7\u00f5es biom\u00e9dicas. <\/p>\n<p>Onde quer que a manuten\u00e7\u00e3o de formatos bem definidos seja necess\u00e1rio, como geralmente se espera dos s\u00f3lidos, essas deforma\u00e7\u00f5es podem ser um entrave \u00e0s aplica\u00e7\u00f5es pr\u00e1ticas, e podem explicar resultados pouco consistentes de v\u00e1rios experimentos. <\/p>\n<p>O fen\u00f4meno l\u00edquido\/s\u00f3lido foi observado em nanopart\u00edculas de prata de 10 nan\u00f4metros de di\u00e2metro a temperatura ambiente &#8211; a prata s\u00f3 se funde a 962\u00ba C, o que torna o comportamento l\u00edquido totalmente inesperado. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Pseudoelasticidade <br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nUsando v\u00e1rias t\u00e9cnicas de microscopia, al\u00e9m de modelamento at\u00f4mico, a equipe verificou que as deforma\u00e7\u00f5es atingem apenas a primeira ou as duas primeiras camadas at\u00f4micas de cada nanopart\u00edcula, com todo o seu interior permanecendo cristalino. <\/p>\n<p>Tecnicamente essa deforma\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 uma pseudoelasticidade, j\u00e1 que as nanopart\u00edculas retornam ao seu formato original quando a tens\u00e3o \u00e9 removida, como uma bola de borracha quando \u00e9 apertada. <\/p>\n<p>Isto \u00e9 diferente da plasticidade, quando o material se deforma de modo definitivo, como quando se aperta uma bola de argila.<\/p>\n<p><b>Autor: Inova\u00e7\u00e3o Tecnol\u00f3gica<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>O fen\u00f4meno \u00e9 chamado de pseudoelasticidade, diferente da plasticidade apresentada por outros materiais.[Imagem: Yan Liang] Part\u00edculas ou gotas Nanopart\u00edculas n\u00e3o s\u00e3o apenas part\u00edculas muito pequenas de algum material: elas parecem ter sua pr\u00f3pria f\u00edsica.
