Posteriormente, os dois parlamentos ratificaram o acordo e aprovaram o projeto a ser completado at\u00e9 1994.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A conex\u00e3o Oresund com16 km de extens\u00e3o entre a Su\u00e9cia e a Dinamarca est\u00e1 agora conclu\u00edda. \u00c0s 6 horas da manh\u00e3 de 14 de agosto de 1999, foi colocada a sec\u00e7\u00e3o final da ponte pelo guindaste flutuante &#8220;Svanen&#8221;. Seis horas depois, a Princesa Real Victoria da Su\u00e9cia e o Pr\u00edncipe Frederik da Dinamarca se encontraram na ponte para consolidar o grande acontecimento, um marco para o fato de que Dinamarca e Su\u00e9cia mais uma vez estavam unidas, 7.000 anos depois da Idade de Gelo quando elas eram um mesmo territ\u00f3rio.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A Ponte de Oresund \u00e9 a \u00fanica das grandes pontes do mundo que permite o tr\u00e1fego rodo-ferrovi\u00e1rio.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Com um custo total de 1.500 milh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares, o grandioso projeto teve sua execu\u00e7\u00e3o iniciada em 1991 com um acordo 50\/50 entre os dois paises, e conclu\u00eddo em apenas 9 anos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Foi desenvolvida uma inovadora t\u00e9cnica na constru\u00e7\u00e3o, desenhada para minimizar a s adversas condi\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas escandinavas. Foram constru\u00eddos 20 imensos segmentos de t\u00fanel, com 176 metros de comprimento, com 38,65m. de largura e 8,55m. de altura .&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Os segmentos de t\u00fanel foram rebocados desde o p\u00e1tio de fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o. Uma vez posicionado cada segmento com precisa exatid\u00e3o, mediante a tecnologia GPS, procedia-se a imers\u00e3o do mesmo, colocando-o sobre uma base granular previamente preparada e nivelada no fundo do mar. Desta forma uma parte reta de 3.520 m. estava constru\u00edda.
