{"id":24848,"date":"2014-07-16T00:09:54","date_gmt":"2014-07-16T00:09:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.institutodeengenharia.org.br\/?p=24848"},"modified":"2014-07-16T14:20:58","modified_gmt":"2014-07-16T14:20:58","slug":"um-robo-quase-biologico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.institutodeengenharia.org.br\/site\/2014\/07\/16\/um-robo-quase-biologico\/","title":{"rendered":"Um rob\u00f4 quase biol\u00f3gico"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recentemente, a equipe do professor Rashid Bashir, da Universidade de Michigan, demonstrou o conceito de um biorrob\u00f4 movido por c\u00e9lulas do cora\u00e7\u00e3o. <\/p>\n<p>Mas o jeit\u00e3o pulsante das c\u00e9lulas card\u00edacas n\u00e3o levava o rob\u00f4 muito adiante. <\/p>\n<p>Por isso eles constru\u00edram uma vers\u00e3o movida por c\u00e9lulas musculares acionadas por pulsos el\u00e9tricos, o que permite controlar com precis\u00e3o o funcionamento do dispositivo h\u00edbrido. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;N\u00f3s estamos tentando integrar esses princ\u00edpios de engenharia com biologia de uma forma que possa ser usada para projetar m\u00e1quinas e sistemas biol\u00f3gicos para aplica\u00e7\u00f5es ambientais e medicinais,&#8221; disse o professor Bashir <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Os atuadores biol\u00f3gicos, movimentados por c\u00e9lulas musculares, s\u00e3o uma necessidade fundamental para qualquer tipo de m\u00e1quina biol\u00f3gica que voc\u00ea queira construir,&#8221; acrescentou ele. <\/p>\n<p>Microrrob\u00f4 vivo entrar\u00e1 no corpo para detectar doen\u00e7as <br \/>\nCom menos de um cent\u00edmetro de comprimento, o bioatuador, que \u00e9 mais um motor do que um rob\u00f4 propriamente dito, foi constru\u00eddo com c\u00e9lulas vivas aplicadas sobre uma matriz de hidrogel por uma impressora 3D. <\/p>\n<p>Sensores aut\u00f4nomos <\/p>\n<p>A equipe decidiu passar das c\u00e9lulas card\u00edacas para a c\u00e9lulas musculares porque as c\u00e9lulas do cora\u00e7\u00e3o pulsam, tornando dif\u00edcil controlar o movimento &#8211; o biorrob\u00f4 n\u00e3o pode ser desligado, por exemplo. <\/p>\n<p>J\u00e1 as c\u00e9lulas musculares s\u00f3 se movimentam quando recebem os pulsos el\u00e9tricos, o que torna muito f\u00e1cil controlar os bio-bots. <\/p>\n<p>A velocidade do biorrob\u00f4 pode ser controlada ajustando a frequ\u00eancia dos pulsos el\u00e9tricos &#8211; quanto maior a frequ\u00eancia da corrente alternada, maior \u00e9 a velocidade do rob\u00f4. <\/p>\n<p>A equipe planeja a seguir incorporar neur\u00f4nios aos biorrob\u00f4s para controlar a dire\u00e7\u00e3o do movimento, o que poder\u00e1 ser feito com luz, por meio da optogen\u00e9tica, ou por meio de gradientes qu\u00edmicos. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nosso objetivo \u00e9 que estes dispositivos sejam usados como sensores aut\u00f4nomos. Queremos que eles sintam um composto qu\u00edmico espec\u00edfico e se movam em dire\u00e7\u00e3o a ele, e liberem agentes para neutralizar a toxina, por exemplo.
