E se eu pensar em microrrob\u00f4s, ent\u00e3o eu penso em organismos unicelulares se movimentando na \u00e1gua. Os rob\u00f4s do futuro ser\u00e3o cada vez mais parecidos como organismos biol\u00f3gicos,&#8221; concorda o professor Antonio De Simone, da Escola Internacional de Estudos Avan\u00e7ados (SISSA), na It\u00e1lia. <\/p>\n<p>Para construir seus rob\u00f4s no futuro, De Simone e seu colega Marino Arroyo (Universidade Polit\u00e9cnica da Catalunha), est\u00e3o estudando o movimento dos euglenoides &#8211; ou englen\u00f3fitas (Euglenoidea) -, animais aqu\u00e1ticos unicelulares. <\/p>\n<p>Eles pretendem transferir o que est\u00e3o aprendendo com os euglenoides para a microrrob\u00f3tica. <\/p>\n<p>Microrrob\u00f4s podem realizar uma s\u00e9rie de fun\u00e7\u00f5es importantes, mas as mais famosas delas est\u00e3o no campo da sa\u00fade humana, levando medicamentos diretamente para onde s\u00e3o necess\u00e1rios, reabrindo vasos sangu\u00edneos entupidos ou ajudando a fechar ferimentos. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Imagine tentar miniaturizar um dispositivo feito de alavancas e engrenagens: voc\u00ea n\u00e3o pode ir abaixo de um certo tamanho m\u00ednimo. Em vez disso, imitando os sistemas biol\u00f3gicos, podemos percorrer todo o caminho at\u00e9 o tamanho de uma c\u00e9lula, e esta \u00e9 exatamente a dire\u00e7\u00e3o que as pesquisas est\u00e3o tomando. N\u00f3s, em particular, estamos trabalhando no movimento, estudando como se movem certos organismos unicelulares com uma locomo\u00e7\u00e3o altamente eficiente,&#8221; acrescentou De Simone. <\/p>\n<p>De Simone e Arroyo j\u00e1 conseguiram simular em computador esp\u00e9cies de euglenoides com diferentes formas e m\u00e9todos de locomo\u00e7\u00e3o, com base principalmente na deforma\u00e7\u00e3o do corpo e no incha\u00e7o de partes do corpo. <\/p>\n<p>Com essa descri\u00e7\u00e3o detalhada dos mecanismos e caracter\u00edsticas dos movimentos, eles acreditam estar prontos para come\u00e7ar a partir para a pr\u00e1tica. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nosso trabalho n\u00e3o apenas ajuda a compreender o mecanismo de movimento desses organismos unicelulares, mas oferece uma base de conhecimento para planejar o sistema de locomo\u00e7\u00e3o dos futuros microrrob\u00f4s,&#8221; concluiu o pesquisador. <\/p>\n<p>De fato, um sistema flex\u00edvel baseado na deforma\u00e7\u00e3o e &#8220;incha\u00e7o&#8221; de corpos flex\u00edveis recentemente se mostrou eficiente para a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de um bra\u00e7o rob\u00f3tico que imita os tent\u00e1culos dos animais &#8211; embora ainda n\u00e3o esteja miniaturizado: <\/p>\n<p><em>Bibliografia: <\/p>\n<p>Shape control of active surfaces inspired by the movement of euglenids. <br \/>\nMarino Arroyo, Antonio DeSimone <br \/>\nJournal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids <br \/>\nVol.: 62: 99 <br \/>\nDOI: 10.1016\/j.jmps.2013.09.017<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>Autor: Inova\u00e7\u00e3o Tecnol\u00f3gica<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Esque\u00e7a as engrenagens, pist\u00f5es e alavancas: os rob\u00f4s miniaturizados do futuro ser\u00e3o &#8220;macios&#8221;.
