instala\u00e7\u00e3o de dez novos pain\u00e9is fotovoltaicos distribu\u00eddos em seus cinco distritos, com os quais evitar\u00e1 ao ano a emiss\u00e3o de 205 toneladas de di\u00f3xido de carbono, anunciou na \u00faltima segunda-feira (9) o prefeito Michael Bloomberg. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Os projetos solares que completamos em Nova York gerar\u00e3o energia limpa e acess\u00edvel, porque reduzir\u00e3o as emiss\u00f5es de di\u00f3xido de carbono e os custos energ\u00e9ticos&#8221;, disse Bloomberg na inaugura\u00e7\u00e3o dos escrit\u00f3rios de &#8220;Efficiency 2.0&#8221;, programa que pretende conscientizar as empresas p\u00fablicas e os clientes a reduzirem o consumo de energia. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Com projetos como este estamos fazendo de nossa cidade um lugar inovador&#8221;, acrescentou o prefeito nova-iorquino. <\/p>\n<p>Os dez pain\u00e9is, instalados recentemente em pr\u00e9dios municipais, fazem com que a produ\u00e7\u00e3o solar da cidade aumente para 648 quilowatts anuais, quantia equivalente ao abastecimento de 143 fam\u00edlias. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;O compromisso da cidade com as energias limpas fazem deste o melhor lugar do mundo para que companhias inovadoras especializadas em tecnologia se estabele\u00e7am, cres\u00e7am e prosperem&#8221;, afirmou no mesmo ato o fundador do &#8220;Efficiency 2.0&#8221;, Tom Scaramellino. <\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m dos pain\u00e9is fotovoltaicos foram adotadas outras medidas para impulsionar o consumo sustent\u00e1vel de energia, como a instala\u00e7\u00e3o de ilumina\u00e7\u00e3o de baixo consumo em 12 pontos da cidade, o que vai gerar economia de US$ 332 mil anuais e evitar a emiss\u00e3o de 917 toneladas de di\u00f3xido carbono. <\/p>\n<p>Desde o lan\u00e7amento em 2007 do PlaNYC, o plano de desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel da administra\u00e7\u00e3o Bloomberg, executou 143 instala\u00e7\u00f5es utilizando energias limpas e est\u00e3o programadas outras 99, com as quais se prev\u00ea economizar US$ 32 milh\u00f5es ao ano em custos energ\u00e9ticos. <\/p>\n<p>Um destes projetos \u00e9 o &#8220;Reinvent Green&#8221; (Reiventar o Verde), um evento de dois dias que reunir\u00e1 analistas com o prop\u00f3sito de desenhar ferramentas digitais e aplicativos que permitam aos nova-iorquinos desenvolver h\u00e1bitos mais sustent\u00e1veis. <\/p>\n<p><b>Autor:
