Em outras palavras, \u00e9 enorme. Mas precisa ser t\u00e3o grande? <\/p>\n<p>Bem, por que construir tr\u00eas turbinas e\u00f3licas de 2MW quando se pode construir uma s\u00f3 de 7.5MW, com um ter\u00e7o do pre\u00e7o de manuten\u00e7\u00e3o? Foi nisso que os engenheiros da alem\u00e3 Enercom pensaram quando decidiram construir a massiva E-126. <\/p>\n<p>Feita de a\u00e7o tubular, a turbina e\u00f3lica E-126 tem praticamente 200 metros de altura at\u00e9 a ponta da sua p\u00e1 mais alta e gera energia o bastante para alimentar 5.000 resid\u00eancias alem\u00e3s, desenhando um enorme c\u00edrculo de 126 metros de di\u00e2metro \u2013 apenas mais dois metros, e seria o recorde mundial. A ador\u00e1vel mocinha pesa 6.000 toneladas, incluindo a base de concreto. As gigantescas p\u00e1s n\u00e3o geram muita turbul\u00eancia nem fazem barulho demais, gra\u00e7as a pontas especialmente projetadas para minimizar ru\u00eddo. <\/p>\n<p>A turbina tamb\u00e9m n\u00e3o tem nenhuma esp\u00e9cie c\u00e2mbio, que \u00e9 normalmente usado para aumentar as RPMs do eixo de transmiss\u00e3o levando em conta as condi\u00e7\u00f5es do vento. Em vez disso, o eixo de transmiss\u00e3o se conecta diretamente ao gerador (que fica no cone do nariz da turbina) e usa dois rolamentos de movimento lento para ajudar a regular a velocidade. Isso minimiza o n\u00famero de pe\u00e7as que eventualmente precisar\u00e3o ser substitu\u00eddas e tamb\u00e9m limita as p\u00e1s a uma rota\u00e7\u00e3o m\u00e1xima de 12 RPM (uma a cada cinco segundos), que deve ser o suficiente para poupar qualquer p\u00e1ssaro que n\u00e3o seja extremamente sens\u00edvel \u2013 um problema normalmente comum da energia e\u00f3lica. <\/p>\n<p>As E-126s foram instaladas primeiro em Emdem, Alemanha, em 2007, e atualmente s\u00f3 h\u00e1 24 delas em opera\u00e7\u00e3o. Mais 150 ser\u00e3o iniciadas quando a usina e\u00f3lica Markbygden de 4GW, na parte norte da Su\u00e9cia, for terminada em 2020. S\u00f3 para compara\u00e7\u00e3o. Voc\u00ea tem uma no\u00e7\u00e3o do quanto \u00e9 4GW de pot\u00eancia? As usinas nucleares brasileiras de Angra 1 e Angra 2 t\u00eam, respectivamente, pot\u00eancias de 657MW e 1300MW.
