Cinco po\u00e7os de 32 m de di\u00e2metro por 65 m de profundidade interligados por 64 Km de t\u00faneis formam um colossal sistema de drenagem de \u00e1guas pluviais destinado a impedir a inunda\u00e7\u00e3o da cidade durante a \u00e9poca das chuvas. <\/p>\n<p>A dimens\u00e3o deste complexo subterr\u00e2neo desafia toda a imagina\u00e7\u00e3o. \u00c9 uma obra de engenharia&nbsp; realizada em bet\u00e3o, situada 50 m abaixo do solo, fato extraordin\u00e1rio num pa\u00eds constantemente sujeito a abalos s\u00edsmicos e onde quase todas as infraestruturas s\u00e3o a\u00e9reas. A sua fun\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o \u00e9&nbsp; apenas acumular as \u00e1guas pluviais, mas&nbsp;tamb\u00e9m evacu\u00e1-las em dire\u00e7\u00e3o a um rio, caso seja necess\u00e1rio.
