Cientistas e empres\u00e1rios apostam que o dejeto pode virar a base de um novo tipo de biodiesel. <\/p>\n<p>A UFSCar (Universidade Federal de S\u00e3o Carlos) e a empresa Algae Biotecnologia assinaram ontem um contrato de coopera\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica para colocar a ideia em pr\u00e1tica. <\/p>\n<p>O plano \u00e9 usar a vinha\u00e7a como &#8220;ra\u00e7\u00e3o&#8221; para algas microsc\u00f3picas, cujas c\u00e9lulas, ricas em mol\u00e9culas de gordura, virariam biocombust\u00edvel. <\/p>\n<p>Nos pr\u00f3ximos 30 meses, a parceria vai receber R$ 3,24 milh\u00f5es do BNDES (Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econ\u00f4mico e Social), enquanto a Algae investir\u00e1 mais R$ 320 mil. <\/p>\n<p>Novas tecnologias criadas pelo projeto ser\u00e3o patenteadas, e poss\u00edveis lucros oriundos delas ser\u00e3o divididos meio a meio entre a universidade e a empresa, disse \u00e0 Folha Sergio Goldemberg, gerente t\u00e9cnico da Algae. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Vamos tomar cuidado para que os resultados das pesquisas n\u00e3o sejam publicados antes de garantirmos a propriedade intelectual sobre eles&#8221;, afirma. <\/p>\n<p>Se tudo der certo, o projeto pode ajudar a resolver uma s\u00e9rie de problemas ambientais e tecnol\u00f3gicos com uma cajadada s\u00f3. <\/p>\n<p>A vinha\u00e7a, que \u00e9 basicamente a &#8220;\u00e1gua suja&#8221; que sobra depois da fermenta\u00e7\u00e3o e da destila\u00e7\u00e3o do caldo de cana, \u00e9 muito rica em sais e em compostos org\u00e2nicos dif\u00edceis de degradar. <\/p>\n<p>Por isso mesmo, \u00e9 poluente e demanda tratamento antes de ser lan\u00e7ada na natureza. &#8220;As algas removeriam parte desses poluentes e virariam mat\u00e9ria-prima&#8221;, explica Reinaldo Gaspar Bastos, engenheiro de alimentos do campus da UFSCar em Araras (SP) e l\u00edder da pesquisa. <\/p>\n<p><b>Autor: Folha de S.Paulo<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Quem j\u00e1 passou pelos imensos canaviais do interior paulista conhece o cheiro desagrad\u00e1vel da vinha\u00e7a, l\u00edquido que sobra ap\u00f3s a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1lcool.
