Como assim? <\/p>\n<p>Primeiros os bons exemplos. A companhia qu\u00edmica alem\u00e3 Lanxess usou nanotecnologia para criar pneus que comportam-se melhor que os tradicionais, de borracha, tanto em termos de desempenho quanto de desgaste. De acordo com a empresa, as nanopart\u00edculas aumentam a ader\u00eancia e a durabilidade dos pneus \u2013 em testes \u2013 em mais de 15%. <\/p>\n<p>Parece \u00f3timo, n\u00e3o? Ent\u00e3o l\u00e1 vai outro. A BMW desenvolveu um filtro para diesel que incopora nanopart\u00edculas de carbono, capaz de eliminar at\u00e9 99% de todo o material particulado. <\/p>\n<p>E, por fim, a Mercedes-Benz, em parceria com a PPG, desenvolveu uma tinta que d\u00e1 um acabamento &#8220;envidra\u00e7ado&#8221; e \u00e9 tr\u00eas vezes mais resistente a riscos. O segredo? H\u00e1, adivinhe: nanopart\u00edculas que fazem as part\u00edculas de sil\u00edcio subirem para a superf\u00edcie do material. A novidade chama-se CeramiClear, e j\u00e1 est\u00e1 sendo usada em alguns carros da montadora (foto acima). <\/p>\n<p>No entanto (e sempre tem um quando se trata de novas tecnologias), as nanopoart\u00edculas, de t\u00e3o pequenas, podem passar facilmente pelos poros da pele, atingindo a corrente sangu\u00ednea e, de l\u00e1, qualquer \u00f3rg\u00e3o. E isso n\u00e3o \u00e9 exatamente uma coisa agrad\u00e1vel. <\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m disso, ainda h\u00e1 d\u00favidas sobre o impacto desses materiais no ambiente. <\/p>\n<p>Por isso, a Uni\u00e3o Europeia ainda est\u00e1 definindo os padr\u00f5es para que possa regular o assunto.
