A regi\u00e3o est\u00e1 a cerca de 13.000 anos-luz da Terra.<\/p>\n<p>Lan\u00e7ado h\u00e1 mais de 20 anos, o telesc\u00f3pio espacial Hubble continua a brindar cientistas e leigos com imagens incr\u00edveis do universo. Ontem, foi divulgada foto de um verdadeiro &#8220;ber\u00e7\u00e1rio&#8221; de estrelas na Via L\u00e1ctea, gal\u00e1xia que abriga nosso Sistema Solar. Esta imensa nuvem de g\u00e1s, composta principalmente de hidrog\u00eanio, abriga dezenas de brilhantes, jovens e quentes estrelas azuis, algumas delas com apenas alguns milh\u00f5es de anos, &#8220;beb\u00eas&#8221; se comparadas com os mais de 4,5 bilh\u00f5es de anos de idade de nosso Sol.<\/p>\n<p>Localizada a 13 mil anos-luz da Terra, a nebulosa, batizada NGC 2467, \u00e9 uma das muitas regi\u00f5es de nascimento de estrelas de nossa gal\u00e1xia. Um dos exemplos mais conhecidos, e bem mais pr\u00f3ximo, \u00e9 a nebulosa de \u00d3rion, vis\u00edvel a olho nu da Terra. A forte radia\u00e7\u00e3o ultravioleta emitida pelas estrelas rec\u00e9m nascidas, no entanto, j\u00e1 come\u00e7a a dispersar a NGC 2467, como \u00e9 poss\u00edvel ver no entorno da das maior delas, um pouco acima do centro da imagem. A radia\u00e7\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m aquece e ilumina o g\u00e1s, dando a impress\u00e3o de que as estrelas est\u00e3o mergulhadas em um gigantesco caldeir\u00e3o. <\/p>\n<p>O estudo destes ber\u00e7\u00e1rios \u00e9 fundamental para os cientistas desvendarem o processo que leva \u00e0 forma\u00e7\u00e3o das estrelas. Por serem muito brilhantes e emitirem grande quantidade de radia\u00e7\u00e3o, tais regi\u00f5es s\u00e3o vis\u00edveis a dist\u00e2ncias consider\u00e1veis no universo, fornecendo pistas sobre a composi\u00e7\u00e3o qu\u00edmica de outras gal\u00e1xias al\u00e9m da Via L\u00e1ctea.
