{"id":18549,"date":"2010-07-12T22:49:33","date_gmt":"2010-07-12T22:49:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.institutodeengenharia.org.br\/?p=18549"},"modified":"2010-07-12T15:28:04","modified_gmt":"2010-07-12T15:28:04","slug":"sonda-roseta-fotografa-asteroide-de-perto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.institutodeengenharia.org.br\/site\/2010\/07\/12\/sonda-roseta-fotografa-asteroide-de-perto\/","title":{"rendered":"Sonda Roseta fotografa asteroide de perto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A sonda Rosetta, da Ag\u00eancia Espacial Europeia (ESA), cruzou o caminho do asteroide Lut\u00e9cia a uma dist\u00e2ncia de pouco mais de 3 mil quil\u00f4metros e enviou uma enorme quantidade de dados cient\u00edficos de volta \u00e0 Terra no \u00faltimo dia 10.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A rocha de cerca de 120 km de extens\u00e3o na sua dimens\u00e3o mais longa \u00e9 o maior asteroide j\u00e1 investigado por um sat\u00e9lite.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Imagens enviadas pela sonda mostram que o Lut\u00e9cia parece ter um formato bastante irregular e sua superf\u00edcie \u00e9 marcada por um grande n\u00famero de crateras, abertas por impactos com outros corpos, al\u00e9m de algumas reentr\u00e2ncias que intrigaram os cientistas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>O encontro espacial aconteceu a cerca de 454 milh\u00f5es de quil\u00f4metros da Terra, al\u00e9m da \u00f3rbita de Marte.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nFoto mais pr\u00f3xima tirada do Lut\u00e9cia pela sonda Rosetta.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nOrigens do asteroide<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A expectativa dos cientistas \u00e9 de que os dados gerados pela nave ajudem a identificar as origens do asteroide.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As imagens s\u00e3o majestosas, me deixaram sem f\u00f4lego&#8221;, afirmou o professor David Southwood, da ESA.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At\u00e9 hoje, telesc\u00f3pios baseados na Terra encontraram muitas dificuldades ao tentar classificar o asteroide. Algumas observa\u00e7\u00f5es indicavam tratar-se de um corpo muito primitivo, com poucas mudan\u00e7as desde sua forma\u00e7\u00e3o.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No entanto, outras medi\u00e7\u00f5es parecem revelar a exist\u00eancia de metais na sua superf\u00edcie, o que significaria que o grande rochedo espacial j\u00e1 estaria em um est\u00e1gio mais avan\u00e7ado de evolu\u00e7\u00e3o.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Outra hip\u00f3tese \u00e9 que Lut\u00e9cia seja um fragmento de um asteroide muito maior que teria se despeda\u00e7ado em uma colis\u00e3o.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Os cientistas esperam que as informa\u00e7\u00f5es coletadas por Rosetta ajudem a responder estas perguntas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>An\u00e1lises cient\u00edficas<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Quase todos os instrumentos na sonda ficaram ligados durante v\u00e1rias horas no per\u00edodo em que o asteroide passou mais perto, \u00e0s 12h44m deste s\u00e1bado.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Espect\u00f4metros, experimentos sobre campo magn\u00e9tico e plasma, al\u00e9m de r\u00e1dio, entre outros, reuniram a maior quantidade poss\u00edvel de informa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre o corpo, que passou a uma velocidade relativa de 15 km\/s e \u00e0 dist\u00e2ncia m\u00ednima de 3.162 km.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Nos pr\u00f3ximos dias, os especialistas devem se debru\u00e7ar sobre esses dados, antes de anunciar qualquer conclus\u00e3o sobre
