O sistema BTV, uma inova\u00e7\u00e3o da Airbus, auxilia o piloto a amenizar o congestionamento dos aeroportos e aprimorar o tempo de manobras na pista, enquanto o sistema ROW\/ROP endere\u00e7a os riscos de ultrapassar os limites da pista durante o procedimento de aterrissagem. Ambas as solu\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o patenteadas pela Airbus.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>O BTV foi projetado por uma equipe transnacional sediada em Toulouse, na Fran\u00e7a, e em Filton, na Inglaterra. Ao combinar o conte\u00fado do GPS integral do A380 e informa\u00e7\u00f5es do banco de dados de aeroportos (On-Board Airport Navigation System) com os sistemas Auto-Flight e Auto-Brake, o BTV oferece ao piloto, em tempo real, qual a dist\u00e2ncia exata de frenagem para chegar at\u00e9 a sa\u00edda de prefer\u00eancia. O sistema ainda permite que os pilotos tenham acesso aos dados operacionais de dist\u00e2ncia de aterrissagem ainda durante o voo, no processo de prepara\u00e7\u00e3o para o pouso. <\/p>\n<p>Quando o piloto opta por uma sa\u00edda de pista, o sistema indica o tempo estimado de ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o da pista, al\u00e9m do menor tempo para efetuar a manobra. Durante a fase de pouso subseq\u00fcente, e de acordo com as condi\u00e7\u00f5es da pista (se molhada ou seca, por exemplo), a desacelera\u00e7\u00e3o da aeronave \u00e9 automaticamente regulada de modo que ela alcance a sa\u00edda escolhida na velocidade correta. <\/p>\n<p>O sistema BTV tamb\u00e9m beneficia as companhias ao diminuir os n\u00edveis de energia e temperatura do processo de frenagem (reduzindo o desgaste dos freios); aliviar o uso extremo do equipamento de reverso em pistas secas; respeitar o conforto dos passageiros (por proporcionar uma desacelera\u00e7\u00e3o suave e controlada) e, ainda, reduzir o n\u00edvel de ru\u00eddo, de consumo de combust\u00edvel e de emiss\u00e3o de CO2, permitindo que a equipe de controle de trafego a\u00e9reo possa programar 15% mais decolagens. Assim, as companhias a\u00e9reas podem maximizar a rotatividade de suas aeronaves e reduzir o tempo de exposi\u00e7\u00e3o ao risco de incidentes na pista (por minimizar o tempo de ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o da mesma). <\/p>\n<p>O sistema complementar ROW\/ROP (Alerta e Preven\u00e7\u00e3o de Ultrapassagem do Final da Pista) estima dist\u00e2ncias operacionais de pouso real\u00edsticas e as compara, em tempo real, com a dist\u00e2ncia de pouso efetivamente dispon\u00edvel, enquanto computa fatores como: velocidade do avi\u00e3o, posi\u00e7\u00e3o, altitude e peso, condi\u00e7\u00f5es da pista, temperatura ambiente, vento e a eleva\u00e7\u00e3o da pista. O modo &#8220;ROW&#8221; avisa o piloto se a aeronave est\u00e1 se aproximando de uma pista considerada muito curta ou se o comprimento restante se torna demasiadamente curto (em uma situa\u00e7\u00e3o de toque retardado na pista por motivo de condi\u00e7\u00f5es inst\u00e1veis de aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o, por exemplo). Nestes casos de alerta do ROW, o procedimento exigido do piloto \u00e9 dar meia volta para que seja efetuada uma nova reaproxima\u00e7\u00e3o com dist\u00e2ncia suficiente. No entanto, se essa manobra n\u00e3o puder ser realizada &#8211; em casos de emerg\u00eancia, por exemplo -, o piloto poder\u00e1 decidir prosseguir com o pouso mesmo com pouco comprimento de pista. Neste caso, a prote\u00e7\u00e3o ROP ser\u00e1 automaticamente ativada para fazer com que a aeronave pare, dentro da menor dist\u00e2ncia poss\u00edvel, utilizando a for\u00e7a m\u00e1xima de frenagem e a maior pot\u00eancia de reverso necess\u00e1ria. Apesar de autom\u00e1tico, o piloto possui autonomia para desativar o ROP a qualquer momento. <\/p>\n<p>Os sistemas BTV e ROW\/ROP realizaram seu primeiro teste em uma aeronave A340-600 em 2004 e no modelo A380 em maio de 2008. As recentes aprova\u00e7\u00e3o e certifica\u00e7\u00e3o da EASA inauguram o processo de introdu\u00e7\u00e3o desses sistemas nos avi\u00f5es A380 das frotas da Air France e Lufthansa.
