Ser\u00e3o 6,8 quil\u00f4metros em que trem e outros ve\u00edculos poder\u00e3o andar paralelamente, entre a Avenida Papa Jo\u00e3o XXIII, em Mau\u00e1, e o cruzamento com a Rua Capit\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 Gallo, em Ribeir\u00e3o Pires. O objetivo do Ferroanel \u00e9 retirar os trens de carga da malha da Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos. A obra vai otimizar a transposi\u00e7\u00e3o ferrovi\u00e1ria da Grande S\u00e3o Paulo para fluxos de transporte de cargas de Minas e Rio para o Sul do Pa\u00eds e vice-versa, al\u00e9m de melhorar a acessibilidade \u00e0 Baixada e ao Porto de Santos. <br \/>\n&#8220;A prioridade estabelecida pelo governo estadual para a instala\u00e7\u00e3o do tramo sul do Ferroanel, previsto no Plano Diretor de Desenvolvimento dos Transportes, trouxe a necessidade de se avaliar a possibilidade e a conveni\u00eancia de uma compatibiliza\u00e7\u00e3o entre os tra\u00e7ados dos dois empreendimentos&#8221;, diz o estudo do cons\u00f3rcio JGP e Prime Engenharia \u00e0 Dersa. O relat\u00f3rio explica que para haver o compartilhamento \u00e9 preciso ampliar a largura da faixa de 130 para 160 metros. <\/p>\n<p>Os 43,5 quil\u00f4metros do trecho leste do Rodoanel cortar\u00e3o Mau\u00e1, Ribeir\u00e3o Pires, Po\u00e1, Itaquaquecetuba, Ferraz de Vasconcelos e Aruj\u00e1. O novo ramal, cujas obras est\u00e3o or\u00e7adas em R$ 2,8 bilh\u00f5es, dever\u00e1 ser constru\u00eddo a partir do fim do ano e entregue em 30 meses. Ligar\u00e1 o trecho sul \u00e0s Rodovias Ayrton Senna e Presidente Dutra. Est\u00e3o previstas inicialmente 1.071 desapropria\u00e7\u00f5es de unidades edificadas para constru\u00e7\u00e3o do trecho leste do Rodoanel, al\u00e9m de 91 hectares de \u00e1reas de uso agr\u00edcola.
