Formada por oito pe\u00e7as pr\u00e9-fabricadas de concreto, a se\u00e7\u00e3o possui 45 mil toneladas e 180 m de comprimento. No total, ser\u00e3o utilizadas 18 se\u00e7\u00f5es para completar 3,2 km do t\u00fanel que integra projeto com 8,2 km de extens\u00e3o e custo de US$ 5,8 bilh\u00f5es.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Cada uma das oito pe\u00e7as pr\u00e9-fabricadas de concreto possui 22,5 m de extens\u00e3o, 26,46 m de largura e 9,97 m de altura. O processo industrializado consegue executar a concretagem simult\u00e2nea de quatro pe\u00e7as em uma doca seca. A resist\u00eancia das pe\u00e7as \u00e9 de 35 MPa. Ap\u00f3s curadas, as pe\u00e7as s\u00e3o rebocadas pelo mar ao longo de 35 km para chegar ao local de execu\u00e7\u00e3o.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As se\u00e7\u00f5es das duas rampas de acesso ao t\u00fanel ser\u00e3o um pouco mais pesadas, cada uma ter\u00e1 48 mil toneladas. O t\u00fanel ter\u00e1 quatro faixas e uma galeria central para servi\u00e7o e rota de fuga. A obra est\u00e1 a 48 m abaixo do n\u00edvel da \u00e1gua do Oceano Pac\u00edfico, segunda maior profundidade de um t\u00fanel submerso. A \u00e1rea possui geologia fr\u00e1gil e que demandou interven\u00e7\u00f5es. Al\u00e9m disso, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio respeitar a janela de ventos fortes e at\u00e9 tuf\u00f5es para executar o empreendimento.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>O t\u00fanel est\u00e1 or\u00e7ado em US$ 1,8 bilh\u00f5es e interliga a segunda maior cidade da Cor\u00e9ia do Sul, Busan, \u00e0 ilha de Geoje. H\u00e1 ainda duas pontes estaiadas de dois quil\u00f4metros que integram a rodovia. Atualmente, o \u00fanico acesso a ilha \u00e9 por meio de uma ferrovia de 140 km. As novas vias dever\u00e3o ser entregues no final de 2010 e encurtar o percurso em 60 km.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>O governo sul-coreano investir\u00e1 72% dos US$ 5,8 bilh\u00f5es.
